A truly fantastic experience. Thankyou to Dennis and Jo and their beautiful dog Snoopy for a truly wonderful experience at Lake Takepo. Nothing was too much and their meal recommendation at McKenzies was a winner. Thankyou and we will be back but for longer next time. A great base camp to see the area from.

Modern, well laid out, very clean and comfortable. Stunning view of lake and mountains.
Wasn't obvious as a B&B in the description. A little far from town centre. Modern building style a bit clinical.

The room I stayed in had a private outdoor patio with breathtaking lake views. Absolutely loved waking up to that every morning! The modern heated floors were a nice touch, especially during the chilly nights. Kept me cozy and warm! Having satellite TV in the room was great for unwinding after a long day of exploring. I could catch up on my favorite shows and relax.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the kitchen in some units. But hey, that's just my preference.

The wall is thin between rooms, travelers in the next room didn't stop partying till very late.

Great hosts, helpful and welcoming. The room was clean and had a nice view of the lake. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. The location was convenient, close to town and attractions.
The shower could use an upgrade, as it had an old shower curtain. The carpets were also in need of replacement.

This is not a hotel but rather a b & B. Our hostess was extremely friendly and helpful and went out of her way to ensure our stay was a positive experience. The room was very clean and the ensuite facilities were good. Breakfast was included in the price .

Very clean, comfortable room. Excellent breakfast.
We were surprised to be in a B&B, but having said that, it was very good and the couple who owned it were every nice, helpful and not intrusive.

Hosts were most welcoming and friendly, they even went to the trouble of finding out our next destination through Booking . com and then posted a plug and mobile phone charger that we had left behind.

The service and friendliness of the hosts was second to none. Nothing was a problem, only had to ask. My only complaint is, wished I had known how good it was so that I could have stayed two nights.
